# Wallet Folders

> Organize wallets into folders in Breezing to group entities, clients, or strategies, then filter transactions and rules by folder.

Once a company has more than a handful of wallets, a flat list stops working. Folders let you group wallets the way you think about them: by entity, by purpose (Treasury, Operations, Staking), or by custody location, and then filter and automate against those groups.

### Creating a Folder

1. Navigate to the **Wallets** page.
2. Click **Add Folder**.
3. Name the folder and click **Add**. Folder names must be unique within the company.

### Assigning Wallets to Folders

Select one or more wallets with the checkboxes on the Wallets page and open the batch edit dialog. Pick the target folder from the **Folder** dropdown and save; pick **No Folder** to remove wallets from their current folder. The Wallets table shows each wallet's folder in its own column, so you can see the grouping at a glance.

A wallet can belong to one folder at a time.

### Using Folders

Folders earn their keep outside the Wallets page:

* **Transaction filters**: the Dashboard filter panel has a **Folders** multi-select, so you can view all activity for one entity or strategy across its wallets in a single filtered view.
* **Automation rules**: [Rules V2](/features/automation-rules) can match on Folders, which means one rule can cover a whole group of wallets and automatically applies to wallets you add to the folder later. "Everything in the Staking folder skips gain/loss" is one rule instead of ten.
* **Bulk workflows**: filtering by folder before batch operations (locking a period per entity, exporting one client's journals) keeps multi-entity workspaces tidy.

### A Structure That Scales

A pattern that works well for accountants managing several clients or entities in one company workspace:

1. One folder per entity or client.
2. Rules keyed on folders rather than individual wallets.
3. New wallet arrives: assign it to its folder, and the existing filters and rules pick it up without any further setup.
