If you use an ERP or accounting system that isn’t directly integrated with Breezing via API (such as NetSuite, Odoo, Banana, or Abacus), you can easily generate and download your finalized journal entries as a CSV file to upload manually.

How to Download Journal Entries

  1. On your Dashboard, select the transactions you have finished categorizing.
  2. Click the Manage dropdown menu at the top of the list.
  3. Hover over Download Journal and choose your preferred export format:
    • Individual: Provides a highly detailed, row-by-row breakdown of every debit and credit for every single transaction.
    • Grouped by Account & Tax: A condensed view that aggregates debits and credits by account, minimizing the line items.
    • Grouped by Month: Consolidates all selected transactions into a single, massive monthly journal entry.
  4. The CSV will download immediately to your machine.

The CSV Format

The downloaded CSV contains everything your ERP needs to post a valid journal entry, including:
  • Account Code and Account Name
  • Description
  • Debit and Credit amounts
  • VAT data (if applicable)
  • Narration (containing the Breezing ID and Blockchain Transaction Hash for audit trails).
Note: Breezing has already developed custom CSV export templates that perfectly match the required import structures for specific systems like Banana, Abacus, and Odoo. If your ERP requires a specific column layout, contact our support team and we can potentially build a custom CSV exporter for your workspace!
all right next I’ll show you how to produce a journal entry CSV so this is for the guys who basically are using maybe you know products that are not directly connected to breezing so if you’re not using like a zero or QuickBooks you might want to get the CSV Journal so you can post it in your accounting system whatever that accounting system may be the way you do that’s pretty easy once you’ve kind of labeled the account just’s go ahead and select here hit manage and then go ahead down over here so download journal and you can click individual when you click that it’ll produce a journal I’m just going to open it right here one second this is kind of what it looks like so here it’s kind of giving you kind of the entry that you would need to post basically in your accounting system so it’s got the code the name the amount the description the debit the credit any kind of vat equivalent and then the narration basically which is kind of like what the breezing typically ID and hash now you could get a Consolidated version of that you can go ahead manage again go to download and hit grouped by account and tax so go ahead and hit that it’ll go ahead and download so it’s a bit more of a Consolidated version as you can see wallets fees doesn’t split everything out as like as detailed as this one with the with the key kind of accounts but it kind of shows a to like this with the debits and credits now you can also do a Consolidated with multiple entries so here I have legal expenses I have an outbound transaction and one with sales I’ll select both of them I’ll go to manage and again I can hit individual and get all the details or I can hit grouped or I can hit Group by month so go ahead I hit grouped here as well I got download the journal you’ll see see this one has both entries and it’s a bit more Consolidated basically and that’s kind of what it looks like debit credit all the codes all the details that you would need now breezing has been known to basically develop csvs that can be directly uploaded into the accounting system so for example we have csvs for banana Abacus um and there’s one more ODU as well where you can just we just get the download CSV the way in the format that it can D that the accounting system can digest so go ahead and contact us we’ll consider it and we’ll potentially build it for you guys thank you
